September 2014 Stitch Fix Review # 5

I got my 5th fix this past Friday. I was so excited to get it because I didn't get one last month. When my fix arrived, I quickly opened it and checked everything out. At first glance, I liked some of the items and others, I knew right away were going to be sent back. Here is everything I got:

1 - Renee C Jennifer Daisey Print Kimono $28

I had requested a kimono since I don't have one and really want to add one to my wardrobe, especially with this fall weather headed our way. Well, I also requested a light colored kimono and this was definitely not that. It was black - since when did the color black become light? The fit was a little too big for my liking so this was definitely sent back.

2 - Mystree Oleander Crochet Detail Abstract Print Tank $44

I wasn't thrilled about the pattern on this tank & the fit wasn't impressive either. It was way to tight in the chest and around the back (as you can tell in the pictures). The shirt isn't really my style either.

3 - Creative Commune Miranda Scarf Print Racer Back Tank $58

This tank is adorable. I love the style and how it appears to be spaghetti straps in the front but is actually a racerback tank! I also love the pattern block on the front with the solid light grey back. And I love the high-low shirt length. =)
Status: Kept

4 - Papermoon Lupita Colorblocked Cross-Back Tank $38

I thought this shirt was adorable but then I tried it on and it was just "blah". Nothing special and I have plenty of shirts like this already. I wasn't fond of the sheerness of the shirt either.

5 - Olive & Oak Kira Mixed Stripe Racerback Tank $48

I love the stripes and color of this tank. It would be a great shirt to wear just about anywhere - either casual or dressed up. It seems a tad bit baggy in the front so I'm not sure how I feel about the fit yet. I love the classic look and it would be great with jeans... I'm just not sure.

Status: Undecided (Update: I ended up sending this one back)

Mason Starts Preschool 9-10-14

Hi friends! I haven't posted in awhile....We have been busy with......actually, I don't even know with what..... life I guess haha. Well, Mason started preschool on Wednesday. It was a sad day for me. My oldest little baby is growing up too fast. He was so excited to go and anytime I would tell him that he is going to school he would shout, "HOORAY!". He had a great first day and was all smiles. Here are a few pictures I snapped before school on Wednesday morning.

I had to wake the sleeping beauty to get ready for school on Wednesday =)

Friday was his second day of school. He wasn't as excited but there were no tears or fighting so it was a victory in my book. He was a happy camper but did get a little nervous before he went in the classroom. While Mason was at school, Owen got to play with some of his buddies. Here are some pictures from Friday.

Later in the day on Friday I took the kids to We Play Loud for some fun indoors since it was so hot outside & then we went to dinner and got Sprinkles ice cream with Andrew before his soccer game.

Enjoy the weekend everyone,
